Privacy Policy

In short: ShaplaSakura does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. Your study progress stays on your own phone. Ratings and reviews go directly to Google Play.

1. Who we are

ShaplaSakura is a free Japanese vocabulary app made by Jamal Uddin Ahmed (Dhaka, Bangladesh). This policy explains how the app handles information.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or photos, and it has no sign-up or login.

3. Data stored on your device

Your learning progress (for example, which words you marked as known and your review schedule) and your settings (such as meaning language and level) are saved only on your device. This data is never sent to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

4. Pronunciation audio

The pronunciation button uses your phone's built-in text-to-speech feature. The app only passes the Japanese word to your device's speech engine; it does not record your voice or use the microphone.

5. Ads, analytics, and third parties

The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools, and we do not sell or share any data with third parties.

6. Ratings, reviews, and sharing

The app may ask whether you would like to rate or review it. This uses Google Play's own review window, and any rating or review you choose to give is handled by Google Play under Google's privacy policy. The app itself does not receive or store your review.

If you use the Share button to recommend the app, your phone's own sharing menu opens and you choose where to send the link. The app does not see who you share it with.

7. Children

Because the app collects no personal information, it is safe for learners of all ages to use.

8. Contacting us through the website

If you choose to send a message through the contact form on jamaluddinahmed.com, the name, email address, and message you enter are used only to reply to you. This is separate from the app.

9. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app adds a feature that handles personal information, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date below will change.
